Strategic Direction

The Texas A&M University School of Engineering Medicine is in LCME candidate status and is working toward accreditation with the long-term goal of becoming Texas A&M University’s second medical school. At its current stage, the School of Engineering Medicine does not enroll medical students of its own.

The future of health care will depend on bold thinkers who can bridge the gap between medicine and engineering to solve complex challenges, improve patient outcomes and redefine what is possible for generations to come.
